6Sense launches with a $12M Series A round to help companies find motivated customers

Predictive sales and marketing intelligence startup 6Sense has announced its public launch and the closing of $12 million Series A funding round. Investors in the round include Battery Ventures, Venrock and Silicon Valley Bank. The company is competing in an increasingly crowded data-driven marketing intelligence space with product that taps into behavioral data to help marketers and salespeople predict when customers are actively looking to buy, and then take action to reach them. The San Francisco-based company was founded last year by Premal ShahDustin ChangViral BajariaShane Moriah and Amanda Kahlow.
