Advice Wallet settles on $1.5M in funding for its restaurant payment app

Advice Wallet, mobile payments startup that has built a payments app for consumers called ‘Settle,’ has closed a $1.5 million venture funding round from Russian VC Life.SREDA. The Kiev, Ukraine-based company’s platform allows restaurant patrons to order, pay their tab, and tip their server from their smartphone. It is targeting the Eastern European market, and plans to launch in Kiev this month, with additional launches in Moscow and Warsaw planned for later this year, according to reports.

It was founded in 2012 by Anna Polishchuk, Stas Matviyenko, Pavel Matvienko, and Andrily Khavryuchenko, and this is its first round of institutional funding.
