Cardinal Ventures, the only equity-free accelerator at Stanford University that is run exclusively by and for students, has announced it will be showcasing its early-stage companies in a virtual demo day this December 3rd.
The demo day will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm PST. The list of startups that will present at Demo Day has not been officially announced.
With two cohorts per year, the 10-week program, led by Managing Directors Sevda Memet and Michelle Schwartzman, supports 12 to 20 teams at the earliest stage, providing them access to an entrepreneurship curriculum and a large network of mentors and investors.
Alumni of Cardinal Ventures includes Firefly, OhMyGreen, Nova Credit, and Mammoth Biosciences, have raised capital from Sequoia, First Round, Y Combinator, Marissa Mayer, and more.
Said Misha Esipov, CEO at Nova Credit, “Cardinal Ventures gave Nova Credit the start that has helped the business scale to where it is today. The support, mentorship, and strategic advice that we received in those early days gave us a strong foundation and helped us refine our business model to be investor- and market-ready. As first-time founders, that experience was invaluable.”
Stanford is famous for spinning out tech founders, with some of the tech industry’s most famous companies having got their start at the university.
Founders from the university include those from Google, Cisco, and YouTube, and more.
