Today’s early-stage startup funding and acquisitions news:
It’s a slow day for early-stage funding and acquisitions news, so the big headline today is a record-breaking Indiegogo campaign. The product is the Scandu Scout, a sensor that the company claims measures, analyzes, and tracks vitals, and allows the early detection of health problems. The company has shattered its $100,000 goal, having secured more than $1.35 million with eight days left in the campaign. Interestingly, Scandu is calling its Scout “the first medical Tricorder.” Welcome to our scifi future…sort of. Here’s a link to the campaign, and VentureBeat’s coverage of the campaign today.
