Lodgify, a Barcelona-based vacation rental software startup, announced today that it has raised €1.4 million in a financing round led by Nauta Capital. Existing investors Chris Hitchen, HOWZAT Partners and Roland Zeller also participated in the round. The investment brings Lodgify’s total funding to €2 million and will help the startup to accelerate product development as well as expand its sales and marketing efforts.
Lodgify offers a browser-based software solution that enables vacation rental businesses to build their own branded website, accept online bookings and process payments. Embedded in a single integrated back-office, users can also manage reservations, guest communications and booking channels from one place.
“We’re helping vacation rental owners generate more direct bookings via their personal website in light of high commissions charged by online travel agencies,” says Dennis Klett, co-founder of Lodgify. “Further, it allows owners to offer travelers a better price when booked directly, without the typical traveler fee added by major listing sites.”
The financing builds on an exceptional year for Lodgify which saw a rapidly growing customer base, high volume of booking transactions and great market momentum, especially in Europe and the US. “We admire Lodgify’s engineering-driven culture and focus on product innovation,” says Jordi Viñas, General Partner at Nauta Capital. “They have managed to build a powerful solution in a fast growing industry that has traditionally focused solely on the traveler. We are excited to partner with such an extraordinary team and support them as they work to build a great company.”
“We believe that our technology can tremendously help vacation rental owners in marketing and managing their business more successfully, efficiently and independently,” says Klett. “This funding will enable us to continue innovating and build on our rapid growth.”
