Pogoseat gets $2.3M to enable fans to instantly upgrade seats

Los Angeles-based Pogoseat, which offers mobile app that enables attendees of live events to instantly upgrade seats or purchase various event experiences, has raised $2.3 million in Seed funding. Investors include Structure Capital, SK Ventures, Zelkova Ventures, Broad Strategy Fund, Kima Ventures and Universal Music Group. Pogoseat targets venues’ desire to fill unused premium seats, increase attendee engagement and gather data on fans. The startup has already partnered with sports franchises like the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, UCLA basketball and football, and the San Francisco Giants.

It was founded in 2012 by Evan Owens and Abel Cuskelly, and raised nearly $1 million in initial Seed funding through three previous rounds. The team is graduate of the AngelPad accelerator.
