Yik Yak raises $10M for its local, anonymous bulletin board

Anonymous geolocated messaging platform Yik Yak has closed $10 million Series A funding round. Investors include DCM Azure Capital Partners, Renren Lianhe Holdings, and DFJ founder and managing director Tim Draper. The Atlanta-based startup offers a social app that enables users in a specific area to post and broadcast messages anonymously. Other users then upvote messages they like.

The company was founded last year by Will Jamieson, Tyler Droll and Brooks Buffington. The team raised $1.5 million in Seed funding in April of this year.
