Today’s early-stage startup funding and acquisitions news:
It’s a slow day for early-stage funding and acquisitions news, so the big headline today is a record-breaking Indiegogo campaign. The product is the Scandu Scout, sensor that the company claims measures, analyzes, and tracks vitals, and allows the early detection of health problems. The company has shattered its $100,000 goal, having secured more than $1.35 million with eight days left in the campaign. Interestingly, Scandu is calling its Scout “the first medical Tricorder.” Welcome to our scifi future…sort of. Here’s a link to the campaign, and VentureBeat’s coverage of the campaign today.
